The Alpine Company Computer System
Limited Warranty & Service Policy Year 2005

WARRANTY

For Computer Systems, to include Desktop and Notebook computers, The Alpine Company warrants the Products will be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of twelve (12)* months after the invoice date of purchase.

This warranty is valid only for the first direct purchaser. The Alpine Company’s sole responsibility and obligation under this limited warranty is to replace or repair the products, at The Alpine Company’s option, during the limited warranty period. Any parts replaced shall be made on an exchange basis and become The Alpine Company’s property.

WHAT THE WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER:
1. Any product on which the serial number or contents label has been modified or removed.
2. Damage or malfunction resulting from accident, misuse, electrical power surge, fire, water, lightening, or other acts of nature, product modification by any other person or persons not authorized by The Alpine Company’s Digital Studio, or failure to follow instructions supplied with the product.
3. The alleged condition is a result of neglect, unauthorized or improper repairs, alterations, improper care, accidents, disaster, weather or transportation.
4. Improperly installed or corrupted software or any other software related problems not a direct result of the initial installation or condition of media at time of purchase.

RETURN
Warranty claims must be made in writing within thirty (30) days of the observation of the defect and returned to The Alpine Company within the warranty period according to the return procedures stated below.
Prior to returning any goods to The Alpine Company, Buyer shall first call The Alpine Company’s Digital Studio at (432) 837-1686 to verify that the product is defective then obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (“RMA”). No returns can be made without a RMA number.
To obtain a RMA number, Buyer must provide the following information to The Alpine Company. (a) original sales invoice, (b) name and address (c) model name, parts name and serial number of product, and (d) specify reasons for the return and any defects in the merchandise in sufficient detail (e) your accounts executive’s name.
The Alpine Company will only issue the RMA for defective parts. To avoid discrepancy and save shipping cost for both The Alpine Company and customers, The Alpine Company will not accept the return of the entire system.
Any authorized returns must be shipped within ten (10) days of receiving the RMA and shipped in well-protected package(s) containing the defective item(s) only, with a copy of original invoice and RMA form attached on the package.
The RMA number needs to be clearly marked on the shipping labels of all boxes.
All products returned to The Alpine Company shall be shipped freight prepaid to The Alpine Company. Any repaired or replaced products or parts shall be shipped to Buyer UPS Ground with shipping paid by The Alpine Company.

*Six (6) months Factory Warranty on Li-Ion Notebook battery

Except as stated in this Section, there is no other warranty, representation, or condition regarding The Alpine Company’s products, services, or performance under this agreement, express of implied, including, but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

*Please Note: New monitors, printers, retail CPUs, hard drives, some motherboards, and other separate equipment may be covered by an additional manufacturers warranty. Notebook batteries are covered under a separate warranty. See battery warranty enclosed in product.
